The process of making and building things

Asus has done a great job of figuring out what gamers need and making products that meet those needs. Its Zen Book and Vivo Book series have a simple look, but the ROG series is all about the lights. To make the TUF series more stealthy, Corporate came up with a design that is both subtle and gamer-friendly. The laptop’s body is made of hard plastic, which doesn’t feel as strong as the company says it is. When it comes to that, the TUF A15 isn’t the best. He or she can even turn off their gaming rage on it because it passed the Military-Grade MIL-STD 810H test. This means that the laptop can take some bumps and can even be used by someone who isn’t very good at gaming.

When it comes to laptop bodies, they are made of hard plastic, which doesn’t make them feel as strong as the company says they are. Another way to connect the display board is with wired cable. During my time with the tablet, I found that typing quickly or holding an important hand while playing games made the screen wobble a lot. Was not only annoying, but also inconvenient at the same time. One of the things you will like about the design is the honeycomb pattern and the vents for air flow between the two hinges. Both of these things helped keep the laptop cool even when it was used for a long time. The Asus TUF Gaming A15 has a simple industrial look.

If you don’t like the laptop’s etched branding or “riveted” corners, you might not like this one at all. This is usually a gaming laptop. When it’s opened, you can see a subtle geometric pattern on the palm rest and more universally appealing brushed-style textures on the rest of it. When it comes to the screen, the bezel is very thick. It also has a high-definition webcam on top. While the look will be dark and simple, the RGB keyboard more than makes up for it. It’s because the letters and sides of each key are lit up that the WASD keys are completely clear.

The Scrabble-tile keys are well-balanced and easy to type on for a long time. In addition, there is a full number pad with keys that are a little thinner and arrow keys that are smaller in size. There are two well-weighted keys on the bottom of the trackpad, which make it easy to move the mouse. The screen could be a 240Hz IPS panel, which is great for games like shooters and racing because it doesn’t have a lot of ghosting or blur. It gets very bright, but at full brightness, the detail in the highlights is lost. Then again, it isn’t like HDR at all.

In addition, the bright lights make it easier to see things in dark areas, which means that enemies will have a hard time hiding in the shadows. Many people won’t be disappointed with what’s on offer here, though, because the colors are bright and the screen is bright. In general, the Asus TUF Gaming A15 looks good and is a lot of fun to work with.

The life of the battery

We usually don’t expect a gaming laptop to have a lot of battery life, but the Asus TUF A15 does well here. The PC Mark 10 battery life test, which simulates moderate use, takes five and a half hours to drain the battery. Because the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H is more energy efficient than Intel processors, this isn’t a bad thing for a gaming laptop. It’s part of the reason why.

The battery here is a whopping 90Wh, which is why we were able to run a looped 1080p video test for 11 hours and 44 minutes before the battery died. When the TUF A15 was able to play a looped video, it was a big deal. If you play a game, the uptime drops to about two hours, depending on the type of game being played Great! That will help you get through a short train ride.

It’s true, though, that you’ll need to plug this in while you play games on other laptops, too.

Audio

On the left and right sides of the deck, there are speakers that make clear and accurate sound. Gunshots and dialogue, including distant voices, were clear and accurate when I turned up the volume in Battlefield V. Gunshots didn’t sound as loud or scary as on other gaming laptops.

The sounds of exploding grenades made the right crescendo, but they didn’t have enough volume and bass to make me feel like I was in the movie. I tried switching to the Shooter audio profile mode in the included DTS: X Ultra software (which has seven pre-configured profiles and an EQ), but I didn’t notice any difference. I had the same thing happen with music.

Lotto, by Joyner Lucas, was clear and accurate but too quiet for partying, even though I was living in a small apartment. This is even though I was at home. It took a little while for the background music to get clear and layered after you switched to external speakers. As a bonus, the laptop’s DTS:X technology lets you listen to 7.1 virtual surround sound with a stereo headset.

While it’s nice to have better sound on cheap headphones, many of the simplest gaming headsets have virtual surround sound.

There are both software and a one-year warranty for ASUS TUF A15 2020 Model

There are some useful apps on Asus’s laptops, like Candy Crush Friends and Farm Heroes Saga, Groove Music and Xbox apps. My Asus may be able to help me figure out what’s wrong with my computer. Asus Armoury Crate shows things like how much CPU and RAM are being used. It also has a lot of different fan settings, like Windows, Silent (lower than 35dB for light work and entertainment), Performance (default, less than 40dB), Turbo (lower than 50dB) (no restrictions).

A graph shows how much better or worse things are at cooling, noise reduction, and so on. In addition, you’ll set up the app so that your smartphone can change PC settings. Toggle and drop-down menus make it easy to change advanced GPU settings like anti-aliasing mode and texture filtering quality, which can make your computer look better or worse. Also, you get the DTS Headphones audio software (see the Audio section below) and DTS Sound Unbound, which can be used with stereo headphones and virtual surround sound.

It’s called “Experiential Learning.”

To start, let’s talk about how long the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 can last. The first thing we did when we opened the box was to play with it. Check out the review video when it’s available to see how it worked for us. When you hold the laptop up, it feels a little heavier than most other gaming laptops on the market. A good thing is that the laptop lid doesn’t move at all when it’s closed, so that’s good. When the laptop is opened, the screen part bends a little bit, but it’s not too much. You aren’t going to bend your screen on your own.

Moving on to the keyboard, it doesn’t move very much even when I press down very hard. During boss fights, it fights off enemies who are annoying. We’re happy that it can take an arrow, too (to the key). The A15’s key travel distance makes typing very easy. The keyboard has a tactile feel and makes a very quiet click sound, even though it isn’t made of metal. I like that the keyboard has FN shortcuts for important things like switching between silent and performance mode (FN + F5) and changing the Aura RGB settings (FN + Arrow Keys).

I wish Asus had made the trackpad a little bigger, even though it’s the same size as other trackpads. It’s a little bumpy when you scroll, but I’m sure it’ll get better with time because it’s so new. As a whole, I found the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 to be a good laptop to use every day. I like it because it is good at writing and browsing the web. The 144Hz refresh rate screen gives you a smooth gaming experience.

It also doesn’t hurt my wrist when I move it from place to place while I work from home.

Ports

The TUF A15 has a lot of different ports. Two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, an HDMI input, a USB Type-C port, an audio/microphone jack, and an important RJ-45 Ethernet port are on the left. These ports are important for getting a quick, stable wired internet connection while gaming.

The left side has a USB 2.0 port and a slot for a lock. There isn’t an SD card slot, but that didn’t bother us because there are so many ports.

Summary of ASUS TUF A15 2020 Model

A new laptop from Asus called the TUF A15 is one of the company’s newest. It was shown off as part of the company’s recently shown off gaming device portfolio. The TUF series is meant for people who want to play games on a budget. The TUF A15, on the other hand, is good at more than just that, and this is why. It has a high-end look and great performance at a very low price (for a gaming laptop). This year, the company changed the name of their laptops and made them look a little different than the previous TUF series laptops.

Last year, all of the TUF models had a confusing naming scheme, with model numbers all over the place. This year, all of the TUF models have the same name. This year, Asus made things a little easier by launching the TUF A15 and A17, both of which have 15.6-inch displays. The A17 has a 17-inch screen. The TUF A15 is a little big and not very portable, but it does what it was made for: easy, lag-free casual gaming. It’s because of the gamer vibe and a lot of features like Adaptive Sync that make the most simple graphics tasks look better.

There could be a lot more room for improvement. The screen could be brighter, the speakers could be a lot louder, and the battery life could be a lot better, but the average gamer who wants to get into this market isn’t going to care. I can say with confidence that the ASUS TUF A15 is one of the easiest options for people who want to start playing games.
